After reaching its end goal of one million volunteers, Disney has officially ended its “Give a Day, Get a Day” promotion. The campaign encouraged people to lend a hand in their communities and offered them a free ticket to Walt Disney World or Disneyland in return.

Cradles to Crayons Boston participated in the program, asking volunteers to bring in three or more large trash bags filled with new and gently used children’s donations in order to be eligible for a ticket. The results? Staggering.

When all was said and done, more than 500 people signed up to help Cradles to Crayons through the Disney program. So far, 140 of them have donated the following:

  • 325 bags of clothing
  • 11 bags of books
  • 30 bags of toys
  • 59 pieces of baby equipment

…and there are still 370 volunteers that have yet to bring in their donations! We are surprised and thrilled with the results of the program, and excited to see what’s still to come.
